Monmouth City Council Approves Bids to Complete Municipal Airport Projects

Monmouth upgrades airport with Brandt Construction for aprons and Gunther Construction for water line and entrance. Mayor Davies: $800K, 10% city match.

Mayor Rod Davies announced that Monmouth City Council has approved bids for two projects at the Monmouth Municipal Airport. Brandt Construction secured the low bid for constructing airport aprons around the west and north sides of the new hangar, enhancing accessibility. Gunther Construction received the low bid for extending the water line to a fire hydrant, along with building a new entrance road and parking lot. The total cost for these projects is approximately $800,000, with the city’s contribution being only 10%.
